Energy & Environmental Stewardship

Wright Runstad & Company has made a commitment to support the future well being of our region through the stewardship of energy and environmental resources in all the projects we develop and the properties we manage. As a leader in the development and operation of LEED rated buildings, the company has developed and/or managed over four million square feet of space that has achieved LEED certification.

Our experience with energy efficient and sustainable building design and operations pre-dates the establishment of LEED ratings by the U.S. Green Building Council. As early as the mid-1980's, Wright Runstad & Company began recycling construction waste and providing recycling programs for building tenants. Occupancy sensors, electronic ballasts and carbon dioxide monitoring for comfort in tenant spaces became building standard by 1990. Creating environmentally friendly people places through the design of building plazas also became a major component of our developments.
