Michael Yoo

Principal

Michael Yoo serves as Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Wright Runstad & Company, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy, capital markets initiatives, and the sourcing of new development and acquisition opportunities.

Over the course of his career, Michael has executed investment strategies for portfolios exceeding $4 billion and has been involved in acquisitions and dispositions totaling more than $3.7 billion. His transactional experience spans acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, and strategic dispositions with global institutional partners.

Michael has played a key role in capitalizing several landmark Pacific Northwest developments, including Rainier Square and The Spring District, and has led transactions involving notable investments such as 1918 Eighth Ave and 800 Fifth Ave. He has also negotiated more than 9 million square feet of office and industrial leases with major corporate tenants.

Prior to joining Wright Runstad, Michael spent 18 years with J.P. Morgan Asset Management as an Executive Director within its Real Estate Americas platform, where he oversaw acquisitions and asset management across the Pacific Northwest as part of the firm’s U.S. investment team.

Michael earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
