Opened in 2017, this 100,000-square-foot facility housed GIX, the University of Washington’s graduate-level institute for interdisciplinary education in engineering, business and design, before the program moved to Microsoft’s campus. Purpose-built for GIX, it includes design studios, incubation space, electronics prototyping labs, presentation areas and one of the region’s largest, best-equipped makerspaces.
